Telluride Gay Ski Week

Telluride Gay Ski Week 2010 (a.k.a. T-10) is a week-long event designed to introduce gay men and women to the beautiful region of Telluride, CO, and its many activities, both on and off the mountain. This year, T-10 (which takes place from February 20-27, 2010) welcomes the Matthew Shepard Foundation as its new presenting sponsor with LOGO network returning as a major media sponsor.  They are joined by a host of new and returning sponsors, which include the Telluride Mountain Village Owners Association, Chemstry.com, Singha Beer, Stoli Vodka, House Jams Wines, GLOSS Magazine, Passport Magazine, Pink Banana Media, IGLTA, the Peaks Resort, and the Capella Telluride.

The organizers have a full week of events and parties planned and they are once again offering a VIP T-Pass that includes entry into all of their official events (does not include The Matthew Shepard Foundation dinner on Tuesday evening or the Telluride AIDS Benefit Fashion Show on Saturday evening), exclusive discounts, and a VIP gift bag…all for only $195.

T-10 strives to offer a vacation experience that stands apart from other gay ski functions. Set in the beautiful backdrop of Telluride, Colorado, the spirited but unpretentious week offers a unique blend of top-rate skiing and entertaining events. From the popular Chemistry.com White Night Party to the new Blue Ball Dance Party, T-10 offers events and activities that provide a chance to meet, mix, and party with other ski week guests.

Events that are new to the week this year include:

Opening Night Party – The Host Hotel, The Peaks, will officially launch ski week on Sunday night.  The Opening Night Party will be the perfect place to meet new skiers, make plans with hot tub addicts, and toast the upcoming week with Stoli Martini fans!

Iced – T Skating Party- On Monday evening attendees can join the fun at the new skating rink adjacent to Capella for skating, special drinks, and great music.

Hump Night – On Wednesday night they will celebrate still having half a ski week left with beer, booze, music, and more at one of Telluride’s most popular bars! Popular guest celebrity Amazing Race winner Reichen Lehmkuhl returns to host this party.

Bloody Mary Breakfasts – On Wednesday and Friday mornings you can bite back with a little ‘hair of the dog’ at the Hop Garden!  Located next to the hospitality tent on the “beach” you can build your own Bloody to ease that pounding before you hit the slopes!

An Evening with Judy Shepard Fundraiser Dinner at Capella: On Tuesday evening join the Matthew Shepard Foundation for a special benefit dinner to raise funds for the organization. Organizers are excited to announce that Judy Shepard, co-founder of The Foundation, will be joining then for the event. Information is available at www.matthewshepard.org.
