South Florida PRIDEFEST 2010

Pride South Florida’s 2010 PRIDEFEST celebration will be held on Saturday and Sunday – March 13th and 14th - from noon till 7pm. This year’s event is planned to take place at Jaco Pastorius Park in Oakland Park.
This is the 33rd Anniversary of Pride South Florida. Organizers have stated that plans for this year’s event will be much more festive with a large outdoor T-Dance on Saturday and Sunday and non-stop entertainment both days on the main stage. The entertainment lineup includes CeCe Peniston, Lori Michaels-Me & the Girls, Shelina, Heather Craig, and more. And leading the event as “Masters of Ceremonies” will be popular lesbian podcast duo Denise and Donna from The Lesbian Lounge.
Pride South Florida, a 501 c-3 non-profit organization, is an organization consisting of individuals interested in promoting positive images of gays, lesbians, and transgender people. The organization’s mission is to provide the South Florida community with various functions throughout the year, to promote and engage in educational, civic and cultural activities in order to enrich the lives of gays, lesbians, bisexual, and transgender people and the community as a whole, and to work together to achieve common goals.
