Daytona Pridefest 2009

Daytona Beach is ready to show its pride! This Sunday, April 26, 2009, Daytona Pridefest will take place at City Island Park in Daytona Beach, Florida from 12 – 6 PM.

Daytona Pridefest is an informal committee that formed to put on an annual LGBT pride event in Daytona Beach for the queer communities of Volusia and Flagler counties. They work to promote self-esteem and pride among those individuals who identify themselves as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer. They also want to promote tolerance, dialog, understanding, and friendship with people who do not identify themselves with the queer community.

The entertainment lineup for the event includes DJ Harmony, Denise and Donna of The Lesbian Lounge, and Baker Act.
