Chely Wright is Dinah Bound

It’s been quite a year for award-winning country music singer-songwriter superstar, Chely Wright. Last May Wright made the life-changing and news-making decision to come out in a big way as a lesbian and now (just short of one-year later) she will be playing the biggest lesbian event of the year. Chely is the latest major recording artist to proudly add Club Skirts Presents The Dinah to her touring resume.

Continuing Club Skirts’ groundbreaking trend of a high profile, entertainment packed and star filled legacy, Wright will carry on The Dinah tradition joining fellow alumni Lady GaGa, Katy Perry, Meredith Baxter, The Pussy Cat Dolls, Colbie Caillat, The Indigo Girls, India Arie and Ke$ha, to name a few.

Club Skirts has announced that “the newly-out 39-year-old musician with a Nashville pedigree and a repertoire filled with # 1 Billboard charting hits will be trekking to the Sunny Oasis on Friday, April 1, 2011 to deliver an exclusive live concert at The Riviera Resort and Spa, which recently underwent an estimated $90 million rejuvenation becoming the epic and contemporary deluxe Mecca for high-end world-class travelers.”

“We are thrilled to have Chely perform at The Dinah,” says Mariah Hanson, founder of Club Skirts Presents The Dinah. “Symbolically speaking, The Dinah has ultimately become a celebration of the tapestry of women around the world giving every one of them a reason to embrace and honor who they are, and as Chely epitomizes that very concept it was only fitting that we invite her to celebrate our milestone 21st Anniversary, adds Hanson.
